INTRODUCTION TO WEST HILL The West Hill Project was started in March 2017, with a view to restoring the landscape so it can provide an ‘outdoor classroom’ for our learners & others to engage with nature. It is divided into several distinct areas containing a reception with classroom & office, a nursery with polytunnels & glasshouse, a future horticultural area which will include a Sensory Garden, Pond, Jungle & Woodland corridor. There is a wider landscape with wood, native hedgerow, field, forest & stream. We have lots of plans to develop the landscape …. Can you see the potential ?! Pictures taken between Autumn 2016 & February 2017 The site looks a bit wild, however see past this, and there is huge potential to create an extensive outdoor learning environment.
